Why get involved?
In partnership with schools across Brighton & Hove, Smarter Uniforms provides an easy access reuse scheme for parents across each section of the city. Clean, preloved uniforms can be resold from parent to parent at low cost, with great savings and prices starting at £0.50.
The scheme has saved parents money more than £100, 000 and extends the lifespan of clothing made from earth’s precious resources. Children also benefit from getting involved with environmentally friendly behaviours, doing their bit to help protect our planet.

The current focus is on Brighton & Hove but the long term vision is a national school uniform reuse system, with big, positive impacts for our environment, family finances and children’s education.

Parents
You are at the heart of our work! Our community can benefit greatly from your outgrown uniforms. With the cost of living crisis and climate change it has never been so important to pass on good quality uniform. Please register and upload uniforms to our new marketplace. You can use the funds you earn to offset the cost of things such as shoes or coats or you can donate the money you have raised to help fundraise for your school!
Parents can help in many other ways too, such as facilitating new school partnerships, helping with existing, supporting fundraiser activities or as volunteers.

Community Organisations
In summer 2022 we worked with over 10 community organisations to help provide free uniforms for families in-need across Brighton & Hove.
We are currently redesigning the process for providing new uniforms for summer 2023 but please get in touch if your organisation is interested in working with us at the end of the 2022-23 school year.

New Volunteers
We're seeking new volunteers to help Smarter Uniforms grow!
As a volunteer-led organisation there are lots of roles available - working on our new digital marketplace, to helping communications with schools, helping to provide excellent service to our customers, helping us show parents how the new marketolace works, social media and much more.
